How much money can I make by being an affiliate of love Personals?
The amount of money you can make depends purely on the amount of targetted traffic you can send us. The more people that sign up to the site and pay to become premium members as a result of your referrals, the more you get paid. In addition, the more revenue you generate in any given month, the higher your percentage will be. See the rates page for more information.
top of pageHow much money do I have to earn before I am paid?
Our minimum payout amount is £50.
top of pageWhat happens if I earn less than the minimum payout level in a month?
If your referals generate affiliate earnings of less than £50, your balance will be carried over until you reach the minimum payout amount. At that point you can request payment.
top of pageWhen do I get paid?
Affiliate earnings for any given month are held for one month after that month, before being added to your "cleared balance" total. You can request payment at any time once your cleared balance is above the minimum payout amount, and we will send you a cheque within 14 days.
top of pageWhy are payments delayed?
We hold affiliate earnings for a month before adding them to your cleared balance because sometimes customers will try to do chargebacks through their credit card companies and we are forced to refund their payment. When this happens you will not receive comission for the refunded payment. In some rare cases, chargebacks are issued more than a month after the payment is made. If this happens with a payment you referred to us then the refunded payment will be deducted from your next month's revenue.

We pay our affiliates by cheque, made out in pounds sterling (GBP).

Registering as an affiliate costs nothing.
top of pageAre there any restrictions on the types of websites that can promote love Personals?
The simple answer is no. We do not restrict affiliate sites to certain types of website or certain topics, but reserve the right to not approve your application, or cancel your affiliate account if we believe your website is inappropriate for the programme. Please bear in mind that traffic from sites of a similar topic is likely to convert far more members than traffic from totally un-related sites.

Yes, you can.

You are free to use the promotional tools we provide or create your own - it is entirely up to you.

You can direct traffic to us in whatever way you choose - text links, banners, pop-ups, pop-unders, links in email marketing etc etc. The only restriction is that you MAY NOT send spam emails/text messages etc. Any email marketing containing links to love Personals MUST follow standard codes of good practice and comply with data protection and opt-in rules.
top of pageDo I have to be based in the UK to be an affiliate?
No, you do not have to be based in the UK but there are certain contries which we will not approve accounts for due to high levels of credit card fraud. Please be aware that ALL affiliates are paid in British pounds regardless of the location of the affiliate.
top of pageWhat happens when I refer traffic?
When a web user visits our site through one of your affiliate links, a cookie is set containing your affiliate ID. If the user then signs up, or even if they come back to the site at a later date and sign up, your affiliate ID is logged to that member in our database. If at ANY TIME the member pays to upgrade their account, this counts as revenue generated by you, and you receive a percentage of that amount. There is no time limit between a user signing up for a free account and paying to upgrade to a premium account - you get paid no matter how long the time interval.
top of pageDoes it matter which payment method a member opts for?
At the time of writing, a customer can choose to pay by credit or debit card (monthly or yearly) online, credit or debit card (yearly or for six months) over the phone, or by cheque or postal order for a year. It does not matter how a customer chooses to pay - you will always be credited with generating the revenue for the customer's first payment.

You may link to any page you wish - simply add your affiliate code to the end of any URL. If you are unsure if you have created a URL properly in order to track your traffic, please contact us and we can check it for you.
