Introduction:

I've been single for quite a while and hasn't it just flown by! Not entirely certain why it's been so long but choice was definitely a major part early on: now I'm just totally out of practice and not entirely sure where to start! Does trepidation play a part as well... yep!!
I'm not career-minded and not competitive in the slightest. I work for myself and this (in most ways) suits me perfectly and it's a handy means of settling survival accounts. Having said that I'd still work even if I had milllions, most of all just to exercise the mind.
I'd love to meet an attractive, stylish (which is not necessarily the same as fashionable) woman who is creative, sensitive and broad-minded: fairly chilled out but with a spark: has a love of music which is off the mainstream, especially indie rock/new rave/punk: likes the odd bit of cultural travel: and knows how to clean and cook (only joking!).
Samuel Johnson famously said: "When a man is tired of London, he is tired of life" (I have a sneaking feeling he might reconsider that were he around today!). Some days I feel like fleeing its overbearing and inconsiderate harshness, on others I love the place and all its history and diversity. On those darker days I think of my small, recently-renovated house in a small French village, not far from Arles... not that I actually have one but one is surely allowed a dream or two. If you like these types of dream you're probably my type of woman.
I'm approaching this with an open, but somewhat sceptical, mind and, whereas it would be great to meet the perfect match, it would also be good to meet some fun and interesting people along the way.
My musical interests are indie, new rave, goth, punk and I'd love to meet a woman who could share those. I'm also interested in the fetish scene, although it's more as a spectacle, rather than participating.
