Introduction:
Alvand is a Single Male who is 57 years of age and from Ukraine. He classes himself as a Straight Male, is 5'11" in height and has a Medium build. He joined us on Aug 2005 and says that if he was an animal he'd be a mule!
I am speechless, what can I say? I am an absolute optimist. I know for fact that something wonderful is jut around the corner and is about to happen to you me and everyone else. Mean people must wait longer. I consider myself none-conventional in its deepest sense and broadest definition. Nothing that is in the common cultural practice of this world attracts me. No birthday, anniversary, holydays, belief, celebration or a sense of belonging to any race, nationality, ethnicity or religion has any meaning to me. I do however celebrate the first snow of the year and any new friendship. I am a child of this world, dazzled by amazing order of things, frightened by ignorance but hopeful and patient with history. I believe in supremacy of science and dare not to look beyond that is known and proven to find God. I forget and forgive easily: I have no enemy just friends who for reasons, just or unjust, dislike me. It is sad, because if there are people like that I don’t know them. I am a true advocate of justice for everyone and everything and that includes the planet and everything on it. I am particularly driven by those causes that have a very dim prospect of victory. Fighting for victory, I believe, is selfish but, fighting a cause against all odds is noble. By profession I am journalism and have been at the eye of historical storms. That has given me an intimate knowledge (I like to think more than anyone else) of death and consciousness. I know of something frightening about death and most importantly something absolutely wonderful about it. This, I must cassation you, does not mean that I reject life. On the contrary, I agree with Marshal McLuhan who said “tomorrow is our permanent address.” If by now you have not given up reading this dry, confusing message on what I believe rather than whom I am, and then you qualify as a person that I can fall in love with. The chances are that we may get along very well. Oh, one last thing, I am a political animal and yet I communicate through hummer.
